Update from Summer Arts and leadership Camp in Missoula:
They served 36 students, ages 8-14.Some had developmental disabilities and mental health disorders. They were from foster homes, emergency shelters, and motels living with a single parent. There were even 6 refugee children from Eritrea and the Democratic Republic of Congo.
They went horseback riding, whitewater rafting, bowling, did art projects at the Missoula Art Museum, learned African dancing and drumming from Emily’s dear friend Tarn Ream, went to a baseball game, swimming and camping.
Missoula Public schools provided breakfast and lunch.
The report was that camp was a great success. The Emily Sandall Foundation is very proud to be a part of this camp. Wouldn’t Emily love that?
