Service
Emily worked with street children in Nepal and Mexico. Our intention is to initially donate money to organizations where she worked. We welcome any inputs from interested people. With the donations from friends, Emily’s own savings, family donations, and contributions from us the foundation will have assets of approximately $50,000. We would like to sustain the foundation on a long term basis and keep Emily’s spirit alive and her work ongoing.
The Emily Sandall Foundation, Inc. is a New Mexico nonprofit corporation. All contributions will go fully to disadvantaged youth. We match all non-family contributions. We are applying to the IRS for tax exempt, 501(c)(3) charitable organization status.
We are pleased to announce that Emily’s Foundation made its first donation to the Sankhu school in Nepal the first week in March. Emily did fund-raising for this school in high school and college. She also worked at the school in her junior year of college while living with a host family. The donation was made through Minnesota Advocates.
